Estonia is located on the northeastern coast of the Baltic Sea. The smallness of the country is often emphasised which is certainly true for the population - less than 1.4 million - but not so for the territory: Actually it is bigger than e.g. Holland, Denmark or Switzerland. This means enough space for untouched nature, and indeed many species live in Estonia which are rare or no longer found elsewhere in Europe; forests comprise half of Estonia's territory.
